a lifetime of performing
The call to acting & cello began for me as a child in Eugene, Oregon. Performing was a natural passion for me in school plays, symphonies, and chamber music. Thanks to an excellent public school system, teachers & mentors & family, I've had the opportunity to see more of the world through the arts.
After undergrad at Yale I worked in NYC as an actor, cello performer/instructor, and storyteller. In life's twists & turns, my path took me away from performance for many years, while I became a lawyer in a career that taught me a great deal through international law firms, judicial clerkships, and which culminated in a fab perch as Director of Global Legal Operations & Innovation @NBCUniversal. That chapter also involved serving as board chair to the inspiring nonprofit, Drama Club. Most recently, I have had the honor of holding the role of Executive Director at a magnificent organization called The MAP Fund, which invests in artists and their work -- through project grants, microgrants, 1:1 coaching, and peer gatherings -- as a critical component of re-imaging a more just and equitable world.
All along the way in my professional career, I continued to perform as a cellist (classical music, rock pop band Sky-Pony, cover bands, yoga classes), as an actor and director, and be involved in supporting the arts, theater, and social justice causes. I love being able to hold many identities, and learning to integrate what I learn from each. Although sometimes limited in time, I love performing on stage & screen, and sharing my love for developing character and story. For Acting, although trained in theater, my focus now is in tv & film.
For Cello, I play classical with a special affinity for chamber music, along with contemporary music in rock bands (especially Sky-Pony), cover bands, vocal soloists and choirs, my own compositions, and in collaboration with my friend Krishna Dholakia for Yoga + Cello classes.

- Summer 2022: Started developing a short-form series with film collaborators where I play a "shaman-ish" tattoo artist. Set in a real tattoo parlor in Brooklyn! We've already shot a couple of episodes and are having a blast! Check out photos here.
- May 2022: Writing a short film that is in pre-production planning now with a brilliant film director friend of mine. Will shoot this fall! Updates to media with new clips of recent projects!
- Apr 2022: Having a blast in scene study studio channelling diverse roles from "Hurlyburly," "Angels In America," "Motherfucker With The Hat," "Slave Play," "Jesus Hopped The A Train." Industrials and videos for different products and projects - I love being on set!
